Okay I know I'm late but I've been busy. I ended up doing two reading challenges but I'm only posting reviews for the first one. For now anyways. I'm still getting the hang of this thing.
Evermore by Alyson Noel
The back of the book: This opening book in a new series, The Immortals, will thrill many teen fantasy-suspense readers, especially fans of Stephenie Meyer’s Twilight series. Seventeen-year-old Ever survived the car crash that killed her parents, younger sister, and their dog. Now she lives with an aunt in Southern California, plagued not only by survivor guilt but also by a new ability to hear the thoughts of all around her. She tries to tune out all these distractions by keeping her hoodie up and her iPod cranked loud, until Damen, the cute new boy at school, convinces her to come out of her shell. Damen, however, is frighteningly clever—and has the strange ability to produce tulips from nowhere and disappear himself at critical moments. My review: I thought this book was pretty good. The writing style was excellent and it did live up to the hype everybody has been giving it. It did leave a couple things unawsered and a couple unrealistic aspects. Like she just dropped the achcol. I know she hadn't been drinking long but the author just didn't give it much thought. It was more about Damen. But maybe those questions will be answered in the next one. That's about the only problem I had with it. I really liked the book though.

Vampire Academy by Richelle Mead

Mead's absorbing, debut YA novel, the first in a new series, blends intricately detailed fantasy with a contemporary setting, teen-relevant issues, and a diverse, if sometimes sterotyped, cast of supporting characters.
My review: I really loved this book. I've been hearing about this series for years but haven't been able to find it till now. I really liked the story line and the new take on vamps. Everyone is trying to turn vamps into the new "It" thing and the only good thing in my opion is the new take everybody's giving it. The writing style was awesome. It may not be good for some of the younger readers but it's awesome for mature teens because it handles those aspects.

12 Hour Reading Challenge
Okay so I know I haven't posted much but I've been really busy so that's why. This weekend I'm doing a 12 Hour Reading Challenge so on monday I'll post what books I've read and my reviews of them. I have more reviews coming too and I'll try to keep posting often but it's been hectic so yeah.
